Do I have to pay more to recycle?
Absolutely not! Simply request the delivery of a set of recycle baskets and you are well on your way to helping reduce the amount of waste that ends up at the landfill.

I have some old paint, oil and gasoline at my house. How do I dispose of it?
Please visit our Household Hazardous Waste page for more information on drop off locations.

Where can I find information on what items you accept?
You can find it right here.

Why am I asked to separate my recyclables into different baskets when your driver just throws it all into the same place in the truck?
Great question! You will be glad to learn that your hard work is not being undone. It simply appears that the baskets are all being emptied into the same place. Inside the opening, called a hopper, there are dividers that keep the materials from the different baskets separated.

Why do I have to pay for garbage service?
Garbage service is a mandatory service. Chapter 9.08 of the City Code requires every property owner to pay the City’s solid waste contractor (Republic Services) for waste service if he/she has electric service to the property turned on. Clark County's and Henderson’s Ordinances contain similar mandatory-service requirements. For links to these ordinances online please select your municipality below.
